News22 January 2008Event and Awards 2008 We’re organising a Celebration Event on 18th March 2008 at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow. We hope you’ll be able to join us and we’re planning lots of activities and surprises to keep you entertained. As the Objective 3 awards have been so popular over the last few years we’ll be expanding them to include Equal and they will be presented at a Gala dinner on the evening of the event. The judging panel has now met and finalist information will be provided in the near future. All winners will be announced at the Dinner and Awards Ceremony on 18th March 2008. 22 January 2008The Issue 17 of the Equal in Scotland Newsletter 'Celebrating our seuucesses' is now available for download both in a PDF and in a Word Document format. This is the very last newsletter from the Equal Programme in Scotland. In this issue the Scottish Development Pratenrship and the Scottish Equal Support Unit woudl like to celebrate with you all the successes achieved in the two Rounds of Equal and give their farewell message as well as an update on their plan for the future. The three Theme A Scottish DPs Equal Access, Equal Employability and RE:Focus held their final mainstreaming conference together at the Hilton, Glasgow. The two Theme C Scottish DPs -Equal Enterprise Scotland and Icons- and the Theme D Scottish DP Social Economy Scotland held a joint mainstreaming event at the the Stirling Management Centre. To learn more on the event's outcomes and findings please download the Notes from the event Theme E - 'Promoting lifelong learning and inclusive work practices' - Saturday 3rd November Hi Hopes in the Highlands and Islands DP - The UHI Centre for History opened the exhibition 'Aluminium in the Highlands 1895 - 2007 at Lochaber College to mainstream the resulst of the project piloted within Hi Hopes in the Highlands and Islands DP
- Saturday 10th November 2007 the UHI Centre of History launched the publication on their Oral Research Project in Dalavich, again piloted within the Hi Hopes in the Highlands and Islands
The Environment Minister in the Scottish Government Michael Russel attended the event.
