Horizontal Themes Questionnaire 2006

Guidance Notes


Organisations should complete and submit this questionnaire for each project.  A questionnaire should be completed for each project, even if the project is a continuation and a questionnaire was submitted last year.

Each question should be answered in relation to the project not the organisation.  There are no right or wrong answers to these questions.  Please select “yes”, “no” or “not appropriate” for each of the questions. 

It would be helpful if you could, where appropriate, provide further comment and/or give examples of any specific actions taken in the space below each section.  We are particularly interested in examples of good practice.

The aim of the questionnaire is to assist us monitor how projects have addressed each of the 5 horizontal themes and in particular to highlight any areas of good practice in relation to mainstreaming these into non-project activity. 

Many projects have piloted methods of delivery through ESF that have been successful and ultimately integrated this into mainstream provision eg a college-based project that developed assessment techniques for beneficiaries with literacy problems.  During the project, these techniques were adopted for use across all college departments.
