 APPLICATION PROCESS

The current programme is fully committed and no new applications will be accepted.

Projects  are able to request prolongation as detailed below. If you have any questions please contact the PME.

All requests should be submitted on a Prolongation Request Form by the deadline of 5th March 2007

PROLONGATION GUIDELINES

  • Prolongation” can mean either an increase to grant and/or extension to existing project activity beyond 31st October 2006.
  • A request for prolongation cannot take projects beyond 31st December 2007.
  • The maximum ESF grant request should be (pro-rata) equivalent or less than their current approval.
  • Additional grant will be awarded at the original approved intervention rate.
  • The last date for activity under all rounds will remain at 31st December 2007.
  • Projects cannot apply for prolongation if they have already ended.
  • Projects cannot apply for prolongation if this will mean activity will overlap with any other approved project eg a 6th round project cannot apply for prolongation if they have already been approved under the 7th round.
  • Organisations cannot submit a request for prolongation after their current approved project end date as this could constitute a retrospective element of project activity and could result in additional monitoring or audit requirements.
  • Instead of a full application, organisations are asked to submit a request for prolongation by providing the same standard information set out in the Prolongation Request Form (adapted Notification of Change form).
  • Activity can either be extension of activity with existing beneficiaries, new beneficiaries or new activity so long as it is based on the approved application and still fits with the scope of the measure.
  • All prolongation requests will be appraised on Previous Experience and Added Value criteria as per the 7th round Appraisal Process and ranked according to score.
  •  There will be no appeal against Prolongation Request decisions.
