Priority 3 – Lifelong learning
Priority 3 aims to support the improvement of an organisation's ability to deliver effective training through enhancing the capacity of learning organisations and developing leadership skills within the learning industry. It also looks to support activities which disseminate the life long learning agenda and conduct research to analyse the changes impacting upon the learning industry. It seeks to create new and enhance learning materials through the development of new on-line content to facilitate lifelong learning and provide learning support through the development and enhancement both of resource centres for online learning and for the dissemination of best practice. There is 1 Measure in Priority 3. Measure 3.1 seeks to Increase the competence of organisations committed to and actively involved in the delivery of training in support of life long learning objectives and to develop appropriate systems and approaches to support and respond to the opportunities offered by Lifelong Learning and Information and Communications Technologies. Examples of Activity for which ESF is available include projects that assist with dissemination of research and best practice relating the impact of ICT Learning, conferences/seminars and local learning festivals, supporting local learning partnerships, market research related to demand for lifelong learning, development of new on-line material and training of staff in skills needed to develop on-line delivery of guidance, counselling and training provision.
