MAINSTREAM PROGRAMME Applications are received under the mainstream programme once a year with a deadline for submission in early summer for projects commencing the following year. Applications are appraised by PME staff and the relevant Advisory Group. If applications score above the quality thresholds for the relevant round they are recommended for approval to the Management Committee. Formal endorsement of recommendations is then made by the Minister responsible for Structural Funds and successful applicants are issued with an offer of grant letter. The timescale from the call for applications (normally March/April each year) to grant offers being issued under the mainstream programme (October) is 30 weeks.
